Outer Earth: BackerKit + BitBazaar and more!

Hello everybody!

We've just reached the 2-week mark since the end of the campaign. I would like to take the opportunity to outline to you where we're headed and what the next steps will be for us!

Kickstarter Funds

It should be any day now that we can confirm funds and backers. It usually takes 2 weeks after the end of a campaign for project creators to receive the Kickstarter funds. Once I receive the funds and that information, we then proceed with the next step of completing the art, design and development! There will be future updates made to cover this exclusively :)

To collect the right information from all our backers, we'll be using BackerKit. An email will be sent to all our backers as soon as possible, and BackerKit will streamline the process of changing/confirming orders and shipping addresses. If you do not want to use BackerKit or are having issues using the service, send me message through Kickstarter.

With BackerKit, people who missed the Outer Earth campaign also have an opportunity to purchase a copy of the game at $40 + shipping

If you are in Toronto on December 6th (tomorrow), join us at BitBazaar where I will be a part of a table displaying Outer Earth! I will have the game on display and 3D Printed trial space cows on sale! This booth will be shared with Daniel Orellana (Outer Earth Illustrator + Game Designer), Patrick Rainville (Game Music Composer) and Beccy David (Art / Storyboard / 2D stuff) so if anything, come by and say hi!

Game Changes

The Kickstarter campaign brought many new eyes onto Outer Earth, and as a result we have received a lot of positive and constructive feedback on the game. As I mentioned, the game continues to improve and get better, and I want to keep the doors open for comments as long as we can until we pass the point of no return. This is to ensure that the final game you receive will be the best game possible :D

Words cannot describe how incredibly super happy I am that there are FOUR HUNDRED AND EIGHTY THREE BACKERS that have helped Outer Earth succeed in its Kickstarter endeavor :D

As we recover from the launch and settle into orbit, our journey has only just begun. I re-pledge to you, dear backers, that I am going to do everything within my power to make sure Outer Earth turns out to be the best game it can be. This Kickstarter campaign has been an awesome experience and I am glad to have shared the journey together with all of you amazing people. It would not be here without all your help.

Next Steps

Without skipping a beat, I will initiate the “Art Direct a Card” pledges for the remaining art pieces within the next two weeks. In the coming months, we are aiming to complete the refinement and finalization of the game by March 2015. This is when we will initiate the manufacturing of the game. The game is expected to be ready August 2015!
